Signing Using British Sign Language

Signing with babies is a fairly new concept within the UK.

However your baby naturally uses sign language to communicate with you. Why are songs like "The wheels on the bus" and "Head, shoulders, knees and toes" so popular with young children? Could it be because the words are accompanied by hand and body actions, or because it gives the child the ability to participate before they can sing the words.

Sign language empowers hearing babies to express their needs, and the benefits of this include:-

  • Communication with your baby before speech, strengthening the bond between the whole family including siblings
  • Reduction in misunderstanding your babies demands
  • Quicker response thereby reducing tears and tantrums
  • Overwhelming satisfaction and joy of knowing what your baby likes, wants, hears and sees

If you feel that this is something that will benefit your family sign up for the course or call to arrange an individual workshop for a group at your home.
